If you believe all credit cards are created equally, you could be in for a big surprise.
Consider this example: assume you have identical outstanding balances of $251 on
both a Pacesetter Bank VISA™ card and a VISA™ card issued by “some big bank from
faraway.” Let’s also assume you have chosen to pay the entire amount due. You write
your check and stick it in the mail before the due date. However, both payments
arrive ONE DAY late.
With your Pacesetter Bank VISA, you will be paid in full even though your payment
is late. We give customers the courtesy of a 10-day grace period before imposing
a $15.50 late fee.
In the case of the VISA issued by the big faraway bank, you can expect a late fee
of $39 or more to be charged even though the payment is just “one day late.” Plus
a late payment may trigger a significant hike in the interest rate charged on the
account.
A VISA card from Pacesetter Bank makes sense—dollars & cents!
